To-do lists are great -- you get that great sense of accomplishment when you check something off and they help you to keep track of everything you need to get done. And, personally, I believe to-do lists are great for everyday things, but also just things in life that you want to experience. So, each month I will bring you a little something that I think is worth adding to your life's to do-list. It might be something deep and profound or it might be something silly and senseless. But whatever it is, it will be something that I think is worth experiencing at least once in life. This month -- bacon-wrapped hot dogs.
Now, before you get all health conscious on me, let me say that I am in no way suggesting that anyone should eat these once a week. However, it is a whole lot of delightfulness and your mouth needs to experience them at least once.
We discovered these tasty treats on Valentine's Day last year. Mr. T wanted to make dinner the Saturday after and discovered a recipe for them when searching for ideas. I was immediately sold.
We followed this recipe last year, though we used most of the regular stuff instead of the low-fat. They were beyond amazing (I probably would have married him that night if he had asked me).
We decided to make them again this year. I think it's becoming our Valentine's Day tradition (seriously, who can complain about that?). We basically followed the same recipe only we put pepper jack cheese inside the hot dogs before we stuffed them. Cheese always makes everything better and that totally elevated these babies to the next level.
So, yeah, I'm excited about next Valentine's Day already. And you should probably go make some and try them immediately. You won't be sorry. I promise.
