One of the biggest things I keep thinking about is how Mr. T and I used to be with all of this eating and exercising stuff.
Working out, eating right, being healthy, etc. Those things always seemed so hard. It always felt like it would take so much effort or like I didn't know enough or something. It was just so overwhelming.
Side note: it still is overwhelming some days. As I've mentioned 994 million times.
But what I realized is 1) I was making a whole lot of excuses and 2) I was putting way more into this than it really needs to be.
Doing something is better than nothing. Being healthy and active doesn't have to be that hard. And, unless you're trying to look like The Rock, it doesn't have to be totally life consuming.
You don't have to like every single vegetable or fruit in the world. Just eat the fruit and vegetables that you like.
You don't have to spend an hour a day working out. Just walk for 10 minutes. Park your car a little further away from the door.
You don't have to give up every single junk food. Just cut back. Replace some junk with good stuff. Or learn how to make things a little healthier.
It's not hard to make little changes. And little changes are all it really takes.
And, I assure you, I'm not trying to get all preachy on anyone. But I've been there. I know what it feels like to eat a lot of crap, not be active, and feel like crap. And I wish someone would have told me how easy it was. I wish someone would have told me that all I had to do was make a few little simple changes.
Doing something is better than nothing. So find your something.
