12 Days of Christmas DIY - Outdoor Christmas Decorations

It's that time of year. Yep, Christmas. But also time for me to do my annual feature -- 12 Days of Christmas DIY. OK. OK. Technically this is only my second year (and apparently last year I missed a day so I can't count to 12 accurately). But I plan on doing it every year because this is Christmas and DIY décor is fun. So, without further ado, let's get going.

On the first day of Christmas, I'm giving you ideas for DIY Outdoor Christmas Decorations.

Side note: I haven't tried any of these ideas yet. I don't have an outside to decorate. But these are totally all ideas I'm dying to try.

This one looks more difficult than it is. I think anyway. But it's worth it. I think it's the perfect blend of non-traditional and super cute holiday fun.

These are amazing. And I know that word is over used, but just look at them. Of course they'll only work in colder climates. And, well, apparently the weather isn't cooperating this year (yet anyway. I'm still hopeful). Regardless these are extremely adorable.

We had a bunch of these for the wedding. I didn't make them because I had no idea how easy they were to make. They are so much fun. I love that you can do them in different colors and, really, you can hang them all year round. They'd be perfect for a house or an apartment and would even work indoors too.

home alone doormat

Home Alone inspired doormat

Home Alone isn't on my list of holiday must haves, but I can't deny how cool this doormat it. You could also easily put anything you want on it -- Christmas carol lyrics, phrases from another movie (ahem, cough, cough Elf).

starry lights

DIY Star lights

Aren't these freaking adorable? And something about twinkling little stars just says Merry Christmas to me.
