12 Days of Christmas DIY: Festive Foods

And on the eleventh day of Christmas I'm bringing you some ideas for DIY festive foods for cooking holiday dinner. I've said it a million times and I will say it a million more. Part of what I love about the season is the food. There are so many tasty things to be made. And, like with the goodies, you can have a little fun with the food as well. Here are some ideas to make a fun and festive holiday dinner. There's a lot of snowman stuff. Sorry I'm not sorry.

Snowman cheeseball

I love cheeseball. It's a staple at every single one of my family's meal or gathering. I've actually incorporated it some with our get togethers as well. It's super easy to make.

All you need is:

1 package cream cheese

1 8oz package shredded cheddar cheese

1 tablespoon onion

1 tablespoon pimento

1 tablespoon green pepper

A few squeezes of lemon juice (to prevent discoloring)

A couple dashes of Worcestershire sauce

Mix all ingredients into a bowl and shape into a snowman. You can obviously shape into a ball as well.

Snowman mashed potatoes

Who knew food would be so cute? Seriously, I am dying over here. In fact, I might try to make these when Mr. T and I return. Snowmen are OK after Christmas too.

snowman pizza

You can use my homemade pizza recipe and just shape it into a snowman. Then use pepperoni, olives, etc. for all the snowman parts. Or you can use this tasty recipe over here.

Mini pizzas made with cookie cutters

Not feeling the giant snowman pizza? Well use my homemade pizza recipe and just use some cookie cutters to cut out the dough. Then top with your favorite toppings.
